On 01.06.22, a group of 50 students from the Sustainable Production and Circular Economy courses traveled to the Circular Science Slam in Munich, organized by Vanessa Heinrich (PhD student at the Circular Economy Chair).

For many students, this was the first excursion that took place as part of their studies due to the pandemic, so the anticipation was accordingly high.

In the well-filled Audimax of the TUM, Felix Eckel (PhD student at the Chair of Biogenic Polymers, TUMCS), Dr. Karolina Walker (Covestro), Christian Dworak (Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte), Sarah Fleischer (tozero) and Áron Németh (LiBCycle) slammed for victory under the moderation of Inken Sittler (BDI) and Niclas-Alexander Mauß (TUM). All entries focused on the topic of Circular Economy and ranged from concepts for washing machine and battery recycling to possibilities for the biogenic degradability of polymers.

The audience then voted Sarah Fleischer the winner of the first Circular Slam. Having made some new contacts in the get-together session and fortified with free snacks and drinks, the group started the return journey to Straubing.
