The poster presentations by the participating doctoral students enabled an intensive discussion of the various collaborative topics. In addition, the participants were given a first introduction to the successful evaluation of technology performance levels. New project ideas were discussed in several breakout sessions and the community of young scientists was strengthened. The researchers rounded off the evening with an Italian dinner next to the sea. The second day was characterized by the application of the different evaluation tools to their own researched technology. The event concluded with an extensive laboratory tour complemented by interesting scientific discussions. For the future, the participants are very keen to organize further face-to-face meetings, especially for personal exchange.
